Reflection about the Article

                    Literacy is a big problem in schools today. Some parents do not take the time to make sure that their kids can read or write and that makes teachers jobs that much more difficult. Not only do the teachers have to make sure that their kids can make it to the next level but then they have to make sure that she can make the kids who can not read or write, read and write. That is  a lot to put on the teacher because she already has enough to handle as it is and now the parents are throwing another piece of wood to the fire which I think is not fair at all to the teacher. Now there are programs that can help those kids get to the level that they need to be and get them caught up to the level they are supposed to be at.

These programs are very well developed and really do help those children who are in need. When I was in elementary school those kids who needed help in reading and writing would go to a different room and miss half of a lesson that the teacher was doing which I thought was weird. Now a days the classroom teacher can give the student specialized to help him.
